The theme was Roll of the Dice which was quite the challege for me since I strongly dislike RNG in games (not all that good for speedrunning) and so I made a sort of Final Fantasy/Pokemon style adventure game but instead of selecting your move from a menu I integrated dice roll into it to add a level of strategy.

Due to time constraints and having the idea a little too late, I wasnt able to add all the features that I had planned. If I did I would have added the following:

  • Dice as a currency to purchase new moves
  • Dice as a movement mechanic similar to a tabletop RPG
  • Getting the exact dice value results in a critical hit



Controls

  • WASD/ArrowKeys - Movement
  • Mouse - Interact with UI Elements

How to Play

  • During battle you have to focus on three things. Your HP, the three cards on your deck, and the dice roll
  • If your HP depletes to zero you die and its game over
  • Each card in the deck has three elements
    • At the head is a symbol denoting the type of attack
    • At the center there are one or two numbers that denote the value of the dice that it costs to use the card
    • At the very bottom is any card that you've inserted
  • Your dies are rolled randomly. Click on one to pick them up, and place them in the card of your choice. To take them back out, simply click on the die within the card
